Cereal Ingredients, Inc. was
established in early 1990 with two primary objectives:
- To research, develop and market unique new food ingredients
- To serve the baking and food industries with a full service laboratory and
test bakery
In pursuit of these objectives, the bakery-testing laboratory was opened in June of 1990.
Cereal Ingredients functions with a highly developed sense
of urgency assisting clients with their needs. A dedicated
staff brings many years of baking, grain and food industry experience from the fields of
manufacturing, sales, marketing, laboratory services and R & D.
With increased growth, in 1998, the businesses were separated into two corporate
entities in order to better service the needs of their clients:
Cereal Ingredients, Inc. and CII Laboratory Services, Inc.
CII Laboratory Services, Inc. is located in Kansas City, MO and provides a wide range of analytical, microbiological, export and wheat harvest survey
services for the U.S. grain, milling, baking, food and pet food industries and domestically and internationally.
Cereal Ingredients, Inc. has its headquarters, R & D and pilot plant facilities in Leavenworth, Kansas. It has manufacturing facilities in Leavenworth, Kansas, Kansas City, Missouri and New Mexico.
The company produces fruit analogs and inclusion pieces that add flavor, texture and color to baked goods, cereals and pre-blended mixes that create swirl effects in bakery products.
Cereal Ingredients manufactures a line of standard and custom formulated products and markets its products worldwide. Contract manufacturing services are also available.
